Here's some of my favourite pics and tips for Toulouse. Enjoy <3
1. VUOKRATKAA NE PYÖRÄT
Toulousissa on ihana pyöräillä. Jos päivällä tuntuu olevan liikaa ihmisiä, yöllä pyöräily voi olla aika mukavaa. Meillä oli pyörät päivällä sekä illalla; pyöräasemia (Vêlo Toulouse) on ihan joka puolella kaupunkia. Joen varrella on muuten pyöräteitä, joilla on hyvä mennä vuorokaudenajasta riippumatta!
1. GET THEM BIKES
Riding your bike is so pleasant in Toulouse. If you feel like the streets are too crowed, you could opt for exploring during the night! We hired bikes for 24 hours (Vêlo Toulouse) and used them both during daytime and night time; there's bicycle stops around every corner, so it's very easy to use them. Also, there were loads of useful bike lanes around the river <3
2. TUTKIKAA KESKUTAN ERI KADUT, ERI ALUEET,
Ekan päivän jälkeen en ollut kovin vakuuttunut Toulousista, mutta kolmen päivän jälkeen suunnittelin jo, että voisinpa vaikka asua tässä kaupungissa. Löydettiin vahingossa erilaisia kirkkoja, vanhantyylisiä yliopistorakennuksia sekä isoja teitä, jotka teki "kylästä" kaupungin. Mun kaveri hullaantu ovista ja otti loppumatkan niistä kuvia... en syytä häntä; olihan ne upeita!
2. EXPLORE ALL THE STREETS IN THE CENTRE
After our first day in Toulouse, I wasn't too convinced about the city, but after three days it swept me off my feet. We accidentally found churches, classic university buildings and the main streets that made this "village" a city. My friend fell for all the colourful doors and kept taking pictures of them for the rest of our trip... I won't blame him; they were gorgeous!

3. TYHJENTÄKÄÄ LEIPOMOT
Mä olin jo ihan unohtanut, kuinka paljon herkkuja ranskalaisissa leipomoissa oli... Croque monsieur tai quiche lounaaksi ja macaron tai sitruunamarenkileivos jälkkäriks... aah. Btw, jos haluatte perinteistä pain au chocolatia, kannattaa muistaa että etelässä sama pulla kantaa nimeä chocolatine!
3. EMPTY ALL THE BAKERIES
I had forgot that French bakeries had SO MANY DELICACIES. Just grab a croque monsieur or quiche for lunch and then a macaron or lemon meringue pie for desert... ahh. By the way, if you want to have the traditional pain au chocolat, bare in mind it's called chocolatine down there in the south!
4. JAPANILAINEN PUUTARHA, PUISTOT JA JOKI
Mitäpä näihin lisäämään? Joella on ihana ottaa aurinkoa, mennä piknikille tai ihan muuten vain rauhottumaan ja suunnitelemaan seuraavaa nähtävyyttä.
4. THE JAPANESE GARDEN, PARKS AND THE RIVER
What else can possibly tell you? It's just perfection to be outside in the sun, go for a picnic or sit down in the park to plan your sightseeing.

5. ST. AUGUSTININ MUSEO
Tämä museo erottuu edukseen, sillä itse rakennus on jo todella kaunis ja näkemisen arvoinen! Eipä ne hienot patsaatkaan olleet hullumpia. Ja opiskelijat pääsevät ilmaiseksi sisään :)
5. MUSEUM ST. AUGUSTIN
This museum stands out simply because the building itself is seeworthy! The statues weren't bad either, to be honest. And students get in for free :)
Jos olisi ollut enemmän aikaa, oltaisiin varmaan käyty ilmailumuseossa ja useammissa ravintoloissa. Jäipä jotain ensi kertaankin!
If we had had more time, we probably would've visited the aviation museum and other restaurants. At least we have something to see next time we go!
